Easy Way to Quit Smoking Is To Fight the Mental Addiction That Cigarettes Have Us In




Most of us will not agree that we have a kind of metal addiction with cigarettes. But that is the truth. The simple fact is that the easy way to quit smoking is simply by fighting the mental addiction that we have with those cigarette sticks. If we say we don't agree that we have a mental addiction with cigarettes and we want to quit, the we are just wasting our time. No matter the effort and technique that we use in trying to quit, we will still have that urge to go back to smoking again.

What then will be the essence of wasting time and money on various techniques that will not totally eradicate the urge to smoke? We need to fight our mental addiction with those cigarettes and we need to fight them hard if we really don't want to smoke again. So I am urging every one of us to take the correct focused action. Take the correct focused action to fight this mental addiction and break free.

Before we can start to think about fighting the mental addiction that we have with cigarettes, we ought to know why it is actually a mental addiction. The simple reason why we are mentally addicted to smoking is this. If we think about the times we usually smoke we will find that those times are when we fee like it. As soon as we feel like it and decide to go ahead, we find every possible means to start lighting up those sticks without even thinking about it.

We don't smoke every hour as if we are on a schedule. We don't smoke every 30 minutes. What really happens is that we smoke based on the triggers that we get for cigarettes. And when the trigger comes up, we don't hesitate. It is because our minds have become used to having a cigarette based on certain events, night or day. So the easy way to quit smoking is to get our minds of it. In other words we have to fight the mental addiction that cigarettes have us in.
